Skuffle

Skuffle is a whimsical, absurdist fantasy card game set in a world inspired by the playful logic and humour of Terry Pratchett’s Discworld. Rather than battling for survival, players engage in chaotic scuffles over trivial slights, embracing a light-hearted approach to competition and conflict. The game brings together an intentionally mismatched cast of characters, including a bounty-hunting cowboy, a dockworker were‑lobster, a thieving goblin child, a dishevelled office worker, a tarot‑reading magician, and an alien concealed within a humanoid suit of goo. Each character’s design and abilities reinforce the offbeat tone and narrative charm of the world of Skuffle.


At its core, Skuffle is a free‑for‑all, turn‑based card game built around an innovative discard‑based resource system. Players must discard cards from their hand in order to play others, creating constant strategic tension and encouraging thoughtful decision‑making. At the end of each turn, hands are replenished, ensuring fast-paced and dynamic gameplay. Every character features a unique special ability alongside a custom deck of ten cards tailored to their personality.


To enhance immersion, Skuffle is supported by a responsive companion web app featuring integrated AR elements. The app tracks player health in real time, displays reactive 3D character models, and delivers character‑specific audio feedback, extending the physical gameplay into an engaging digital experience across all device sizes.
